About this wallpaper
An ocean of dunes rolling to the horizon under wheeling stars, each wave of sand catching silver on its crest, deep troughs of absolute black between them, the night sky huge and close, the waves’ rhythm endless, the troughs’ blackness complete, the sky’s dome pressing close and huge.
The palette stays in deep black, dark slate blue, layered so the eye moves from the darkest corners toward whatever faint light the scene allows. It reads as desert without tipping into flat black — there is always texture in the shadows.
As a phone wallpaper it sits well behind icons and widgets — dark enough to keep text readable, detailed enough to reward a second look. Free download in full resolution.
