The Plateau Lit by Distance

About this wallpaper

A vast high plateau lit by distant lightning, each flash revealing miles of dark moorland and scattered black tarns, the storm’s heart glowing violet on the horizon, the plateau’s emptiness stretching to every dark edge, rain beginning to march in from the storm’s direction.

The palette stays in deep black, layered so the eye moves from the darkest corners toward whatever faint light the scene allows. It reads as storm without tipping into flat black — there is always texture in the shadows.

As a phone wallpaper it sits well behind icons and widgets — dark enough to keep text readable, detailed enough to reward a second look. Free download in full resolution.
